Development of "TB Desk-guide for NTP Nepal"

Development of "TB Desk-guide for NTP Nepal" is ongoing events to transfer COMDIS (communicable disease) research findings into policy and practice by adopting comprehensive TB desk-guide developed by Nuffield center and findings from in-country operational research projects considering the local context; and to field test and revise the comprehensive TB desk-guide and training modules then evaluate through cohort studies in districts. Which aim is to considering the recent changes, NTP Nepal and its stakeholders have realized the need of having a comprehensive revision of existing documents stating all aspects of TB case management to be used under the NTP by all service providers. It is also considered useful for Nepal NTP to adopt the Comprehensive TB desk-guide, with appropriate revision taking the local context into account, developed by Nuffield Center and proved to be beneficial and useful in other countries. Draft copy of Desk-guide has already been developed, field tested, comments and recommendations have been incorporated.
