Mr. Yadav Kumar Thapa is Public Health professional having more than twenty years of working experience in various field of Public Health including Reproductive Health, Safe Motherhood, Family Planning, Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Gender Based Violence, Emergency Health Response, Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and Nutrition. During twenty years of his work, he enhanced his skills and knowledge on project management, coordination, collaboration, advocacy and communication, community mobilization, documentation, recording and reporting, partner mobilization, system strengthening and quality assurance of services that contribute to support for quality project outcome for the rights of marginalized, poor and needy people.
During his working carrier, he has worked for different Government and Non-Government agencies including Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), United Nations Population Fund, Terre des hommes, ADRA International, World Vision International, One Heart World-Wide and NGOs in national and subnational level.
Currently he is working as “Program Manager” in Health Research and Social Development Forum (HERD) Nepal in National Tuberculosis Program (NTP-SR) supported by Global Fund/Save the children. He has good competencies in project management, M & E, Facilitation skills, coordination and collaboration, capacity building, reporting, research and technical support to government and I/NGOs/CBOs in different public health program like TB, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Nutrition and MNCH in Nepal. Apart from all these professional experiences, He has completed Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree from Sam Higginbottom University of India in 2007.
