A multi-country study to understand the health-migration relations in South Asia

Introduction

The study is part of the IOM project, 'Strengthening Government's Capacity of Selected South Asian Countries to address the Health of Migrants through a multi-sector approach' and aims to understand the health vulnerabilities of departing and returnee migrants in order to inform policy and programme development on health aspects of migration in South Asia.

Project Objective

• To assess migration health vulnerabilities of departing and returnee migrants

• To determine availability and accessibility of health services, quality of health services, and barriers to accessing health services among migrants in their source and destinations countries

• To provide recommendations to the government and other stakeholders to support policy development on health aspects of migration
